Kevin Bayliss Artist and Graphics
After almost 20 years at leading UK developer Rare Ltd, Kevin has been an artist and animator for some of the most popular titles known throughout the video game industry.
Being heavily involved with games like Donkey Kong Country, Killer Instinct, Diddy Kong Racing, Battletoads and many more, Kevin has created many of the characters which have given games like these the identity and unmistakable style which many video game players recognise instantly with fond memories.
In 2016 he joined the art team at Playtonic Games Ltd to help create Yooka-Laylee which broke all world records as the fastest funded Kickstarter video game of all time. Published by Team-17 and labelled as the ‘Spiritual Successor to Banjo Kazooie’ the game echoes the humorous visuals that the art team established previously at Rare Ltd.
In 2019 Playtonic released Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair which received glowing reviews, being described as having ‘Beautifully Crafted’ visuals by Eurogamer. Kevin continues to create video game graphics working as part of the Playtonic team, and is very excited about their future projects!

Having a keen interest in music production, Kevin has been also involved in music projects with various bands and artists, seeing releases by both independent and major record labels. So, it seemed like a smart move to mix these two passions together and work with his best buddy Mr. David Wise to create new and exciting projects together as DKC, where he has full artistic license to turn their ideas into reality!
